Cascades Camp & Conference Center

Cascades Camp and Conference Center seeks to be a servant/partner organization to the Covenant and local churches, providing resources beyond the means of any one church body. The ministry of Cascades Camp is an extension of the Christian education and outreach programs of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Our Objectives of Ministry provide us with the overall direction for our ministry and our program.
1. To encourage the development of a personal faith in God through Jesus Christ and to encourage spiritual growth and maturity.

2. To create an atmosphere of love, acceptance, and genuine concern for each camper.

3. To provide a balanced program which is fun, educational, and spiritual.

4. To stretch the field of interest of each camper through opportunities for development of new skills and group activities.

5. To create opportunities in which leadership qualities can be developed and situations in which decisions by the individual camper are called for.

6. To foster a group environment in which the individual campers understand that they are part of a larger group, thereby encouraging them to develop new friendships.

Positions Available:Cascades will hire approximately 70+ summer staff selected from many qualified applicants from across the country. The entire staff works together ministering to campers and guests. Within the four departments, staff work very closely as a team which is why job descriptions don’t list individual positions.

Food Service, 11 positions. Campers and guests love our homemade bread, spring water, fresh cookies and eating around tables, family style. The whole kitchen crew works together to prepare, transport, and serve food at satellite locations, as well as man the espresso stand, gift store, and canteen. With your time off in the afternoons and evenings you have the opportunity to be a cabin buddy to a cabin full of campers.

Operations Team, 11 positions. Cascades is known for the service this dynamic team provides: keeping the camp clean and running smoothly. In addition to custodial and maintenance duties, individuals take responsibility for hosting guests, lifeguarding, and operating the waterslide. When the work is done you have the option of being a cabin buddy to a cabin of campers.

Sunrise Ranch, 5 positions. Each week horse-crazy campers come ready to spend hours in the saddle! Ranch staff provide the safety, fun, and teaching to 4th – 12th graders.
