The Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association is the only national not-for-profit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, on all fronts.
Our mission: Leading the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
As a part of The ALS Association’s Development Department, this internship will include training/orientation and focus primarily on learning and developing new skills and gaining a deeper understanding of concepts through hands-on application. Responsibilities will include working with the Development Managers to plan and execute the Ride to Defeat ALS event, Walk to Defeat ALS® events, and kick-off parties for respective events.
The intern will be given primary responsibility for planning at least one significant project for the Chapter, as well as helping where needed with daily tasks. This position will be rewarding through the relationships made with participants and ALS community members, as well as execution of Chapter events.
