College Dreams

College Dreams promotes healthy youth development, academic excellence, and college preparation for students, especially those who face life challenges. College Dreams is an evidence-based program for engaging bright young people in typically under served populations. We do this by providing our students, known as “Dreamers”, with an on-site College Preparation Specialist (CPS) who works with students on a weekly or monthly basis providing activities and experiences centered around careers and college. Additionally, we go on college tours, provide college scholarships, help with college and scholarship applications, etc.

Our team serves 6th grade to 12th grade students with strong academic potential, especially those from low income families, potential 1st generation college students, and other students at risk of academic achievement gaps. Our goals are to increase the number of Dreamers who graduate from high school and successfully complete post-secondary education or career training. College & Career Preparation Specialists report to a Program Manager and College Dreams Co-Directors, and are responsible for providing an array of school-based and community-based services, resources, and opportunities for Dreamers:
