Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) Northwest responds to local community needs in the Pacific Northwest by placing volunteers who provide value-centered service grounded in the Jesuit Catholic tradition. Honoring the Divine at work in all things, we envision the Northwest as a sustainable region where all live in dignity, are treated justly, and actively contribute to their own empowerment and positive change in their communities. JVC Northwest strives to live out the four values of community, simple living, social and ecological justice, and spirituality/reflection.

Jesuit Volunteers have the opportunity to live and serve with partner agencies in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

There is particular need for: nurses, teachers, and persons fluent or proficient in Spanish, as well as persons willing to experience a cultural environment different from their own.

Jesuit Volunteers commit to a year of service while living out the values of community, simple living, spirituality/reflection, and social and ecological justice. They volunteer full-time, serving in a variety of schools, social services, community health centers, and environmental and public agencies throughout AK, MT, ID, OR, and WA. JVs reach out to over 150,000 marginalized people, including individuals experiencing homeless, adults with mental disabilities, women fleeing abuse, at-risk youth, Native Americans and Native Alaskans, people who are unemployed, uninsured, and disenfranchised, as well as fragile ecosystems around the Pacific Northwest.
